Semantic LDAP: Bringing together LDAP and the Semantic Web

Semantic LDAP consists of a LDAP2SPARQL and a LDAP2OWL module.

  • LDAP2SPARQL is a backend to the widely used OpenLDAP server. It translates LDAP queries into SPARQL queries, asks a SPARQL endpoint and translates the result back to LDIF.
  • LDAP2OWL converts a directory information tree (DIT) complete with schema information (which will translated into an OWL ontology) and directory objects to an RDF model.
